南韓英文報紙《Korea Times》週三 (30 日) 報導，南韓手機業巨擘三星 (Samsung)(005930-KR) 將在 9 月 3 日於德國柏林發表新一代大尺寸旗艦新機 Galaxy Note 4。根據三星子公司高層近期透露，該機規格將「遠優於 Galaxy S5」。

報導引述三星在南韓首級零件供應商高層指出，三星顯然想盡快推出 Note 4，以對抗主要競爭者蘋果 (Apple)(AAPL-US) 據傳將在同月推出的新一代旗艦手機 iPhone 6。不過根據《Mac Rumors》週四 (31 日) 引述知情人士報導，蘋果雖將在 9 月 16 日舉行 iPhone 6 發表會，但上市日期得等到 10 月 14 日。

一名三星首級面板供應商高層對《Korea Times》表示，三星將在今年柏林國際電子消費展 (IFA) 開幕前幾天，於當地舉行 Note 4 發表會。據悉「很快」就會對媒體及相關產業人員發出發表會邀請函。

三星旗下相機模組供應商三星電機 (Samsung Electro-Mechanics) 財務長 Kwon Young-noh 近期透露，Note 4 的規格將遠優於三星現有旗艦手機 S5。報導表示，Note 4 將配備 5.7 吋的 OLED 螢幕及金屬機身，三星另將在發表會上展示一款配備軟性螢幕的 Note 4，但這個版本並非鎖定大眾市場。
