倫敦地鐵開始48小時罷工 通勤族頭大

英國倫敦地鐵系統的員工28日晚間展開48小時罷工，恐將導致交通大亂，對通勤族和打算出門觀賞兵工廠(Arsenal)對戰紐卡索(Newcastle)的足球迷來說，將是一場夢魘。
由倫敦地鐵工會(Rail Maritime and Transport，RMT)發起的這項罷工行動，已在28日晚間9點(台灣時間29日清晨4點)展開，目的是為了抗議公司計劃關閉售票窗口。RMT表示，此舉將危害到數以百計員工的生計、以及地下鐵的安全標準。
這項因為倫敦交通局(Transport for London，TfL)和RMT談判破裂而展開的罷工，將導致倫敦數百萬英鎊的支出。倫敦市長強生(Boris Johnson)表示，這項罷工行動是毫無意義的瘋狂之舉。
這是3月11日RMT領袖柯羅(Bob Crow)死後首度發動的罷工。工會表示，他們計劃將從下週一(5月5日)晚間9點，進一步發動為期3天的罷工抗爭。
