〈CPBL〉猿補強新洋投猛雷特 最高層級到3A

Lamigo桃猿隊今天(28日)宣布，再補強外援的戰力，延攬新洋投Roy Merritt入團，中文取名為猛雷特，他將於本週向球團報到。

1985年9月22日出生的左投猛雷特是美國籍，身高183公分，體重80公斤。猛雷特在小聯盟7年拿下25勝，最高層級升到3A，2013年在墨西哥聯盟出賽了8場，後來轉戰大西洋聯盟表現優異，今年則確定來台為桃猿隊效力。

猛雷特表示，自己對於亞洲的棒球環境其實有些陌生，但是知道台灣的棒球實力相當堅強，他說：「我喜歡挑戰自我，對於全新的環境感到很興奮，希望在這裡能夠表現出最佳的狀況！」

猛雷特表示，雖然是新的環境新的球隊，但是拿冠軍的目標不變，希望能夠幫助Lamigo桃猿隊拿下總冠軍。

猿隊目前共有正田樹、銳(Ken Ray)、米吉亞(Miguel Mejia)、猛雷特四名洋投。
