103年度大學繁星推薦前天放榜，從都市明星高中到偏鄉社區高中，不約而同發布錄取學生人數與校系，私立興國高中校長趙效賢認為，現行繁星已無法落實照顧偏鄉弱勢學生初衷。

興國高中今年因繁星推薦錄取各大學的學生合計41人，趙效賢一方面為學生榜上有名高興，一方面卻憂心忡忡，因為繁星實施至今，幾乎各大學都提供繁星名額，且名額從原本5%到現行15%，各高中從繁星推薦、申請入學到指考榜單，一比再比。

趙效賢表示，當初繁星推薦目的是為提供偏鄉及弱勢學生前進大學校系機會，現在錄取的不乏都市明星高中家境不錯的學生，成為另種升學管道。

趙效賢說，繁星推薦原本是為平衡城鄉差距，但隨各大學提供名額增加，各高中為讓學生擠進繁星錄取榜單各有方法，方便行事的結果已讓繁星推薦失去原有美意。
