學運領袖陳為廷今天在臉書表示，他主張廢除死刑，他父親也是被人用刀械刺死。

台北捷運發生東海大學學生鄭捷持刀殺死4人，傷24人的事件。28歲死者解青雲的太太昨天表示，選擇放下仇恨，不再指責，這不是原諒凶手，而是為了兩個年幼孩子著想。

陳為廷今天在臉書說，讀到解青雲妻子的報導，心頭震顫，想起許多事情，關於殺人案，他有個故事。在他出生前，因為停車糾紛，叔叔和樓下檳榔攤的老闆起了爭執。爸爸拿了桃木劍下樓助陣。爭執中，老闆拿起刀械朝叔叔揮砍，畫破叔叔的衣服。接著，刀械刺向爸爸。爸爸失血過多，當場死亡。

他說，媽媽不告訴他，獨自扛著秘密13年，想起那13年，沒有任何一次，教導他去恨去報復。讓他多了些時間，好好想想這些問題。

他表示，他主張廢除死刑，應該花更多力氣，在檢討犯罪者身後的社會成因，設法改善，共同承擔。他向包括廢死聯盟、和眾多致力於廢死運動的朋友，致上最高的敬意。
