NCC通過了中華電信光世代上網升速降價方案，現行光世代的60M/15M、100M/20M將免費升速到60M/20M與100M/40M，原來的100M/40M費率則小幅調降，升速降價預期3個月內會實施。

這次中華電信所提報的方案中，光世代非固定制服務（俗稱的符動IP），60M/15M升級至60M/20M後月租費維持每月955元不變，100M/20M升速至100M/40M後牌告月租費從1073元降至1029元，原本的100M/40M用戶牌告費率每月1199元也降至1029元，降幅最高達14.8%。

基於寬頻上網市場競爭，台灣大寬頻及凱擘大寬頻也在今天同時宣佈將60M/10M及100M/10M提升上行速率，升至60M/20M與100M/20M，5月底前完成用戶升速作業。
