【時報-記者柯婉琇綜合外電報導】路透社報導，消息人士透露，臉書以190億美元收購即時通軟體公司WhatsApp的投資案，將獲得歐盟無附帶條件通過。臉書與WhatsApp合體，恐對電信業者的經營造成威脅。

與WhatsApp聯姻，是臉書成軍10年來最大宗的併購案，將有助於這個社交媒體巨擘在快速成長的即時通市場站穩腳跟。

WhatsApp計畫今年晚些時候，為其4.5億名用戶增添免費語音通話服務，此舉可能使WhatsApp變成德國電信、義大利電信或Telefonica等電信業者強大的競爭對手。

不過，臉書說服了歐洲委員會，這宗交易並無阻礙競爭的效果，所以不需要讓步。一名消息人士表示，這代表無條件過關。

歐洲委員會發言人科隆巴尼（Antoine Colombani）拒絕置評。該歐盟的競爭事務主管機關排定10月3日為做出決定的最後期限。
