【林子瑜╱中國濟南報導】統一（1216）集團旗下的統一中控，9月1日起泡麵不再附贈火腿腸，等同宣告結束與競爭對手康師傅的泡麵價格戰。統一中控總經理侯榮隆表示，現在注重產品研發投入，並配合專利申請，要開發出讓對手學不會、不敢學的產品。
侯榮隆說，已經很久一段時間都沒有關注競爭對手狀況，更規定內部不准談對手事情，只有發布財報的時候會去比較，「不要花時間去關注競爭對手，應該花比較多時間關注消費者。」

從統一中控自2008年推出老壇酸菜牛肉麵以來，現在中國賣場架上幾乎是一片紫海，而競爭對手康師傅更在泡麵中附上火腿腸，衝擊統一中控銷量。
根據上半年財報顯示，統一中控泡麵業務虧損1.16億人民幣（約5.8億元台幣），虧損幅度比去年同期擴大近1倍；康師傅泡麵業務利潤卻高達1.61億美元（約48.3億元台幣），年增4.23%。
侯榮隆表示，統一今年起研發分為2個團隊，平時不准相互聯絡，每季度則互相比賽。同時，參考日本等國經驗，增加研發投入，預算要由今年營收千分之3，3年後要提高到千分之5。
