6旬婦狂想 月桃葉「變」藝品

屏東縣來義鄉義林村婦人河蘭英，從小跟著長輩學習編織及刺繡，深愛做手工藝品，因月桃葉是部落常見的植物，她以月桃葉做成各項藝術品，從筆記本、手提袋到籃子，將傳統與現代結合。

60歲的河蘭英是排灣族人，原做原住民服飾，她表示，月桃葉一直存在她生活裡，從吃的「奇那富」到編織的皮夾、枕頭等等，都可以用到月桃葉，她從民國89年開始，嘗試將月桃葉從事創作。

河蘭英說，在部落裡，幾乎家家都有種月桃，它的葉子除了能當食材，也可拿來編成承裝器物的籃子，但長期接觸織品類的她，認為月桃葉應有更多的想像空間，化身為時尚品；她也當老師教婦女們月桃葉編織，要讓傳統手工藝被更多人看到。

河蘭英將月桃葉編成皮包、小錢包、枕頭、筆記本等等，配上原住民傳統的織布、皮雕，一項項時尚品就誕生。河蘭英說，不僅部落族人、遊客喜歡，外國人看了更是讚不絕口。

月桃在今年獲選為來義鄉的鄉花，來義鄉公所也計畫促銷相關產品。河蘭英說，月桃葉除了可以製作生活器物外、手工藝品，還可製成月桃餅乾、月桃冰茶、月桃一口粽，也是吸睛的創意產品。
