蘋果終於在最新手機 iPhone 6 與 iPhone 6 Plus 中加入了 NFC 功能。但據 Cult of Mac 網站報導，iPhone 6 與 iPhone 6 Plus 的 NFC「現階段」將只支援能用於 Apple Pay 行動支付功能，但不能夠與其它行動裝置、喇叭或耳機等週邊進行快速配對或其它應用。UDN 聯合新聞網的實測也證實，當 iPhone 6 與 iPhone 6 Plus 接近 HTC One M8 或 SAMSUNG GALAXY Note 3 等機種時，並不會觸發 NFC 感應，預料這樣的做法可能是為了確保使用者的個人資料安全。但從過去的經驗來看，也不排除這樣的限制只是暫時的，蘋果未來還是有可能進一步擴增 iPhone 系列的 NFC 應用範圍，甚至開放第三方廠商 App 使用。
