隱形眼鏡別陷迷思 久戴出問題

(中央社記者陳清芳台北2014年4月23日電)新光醫院眼科醫師葉威毅今天說,民眾購買隱形眼鏡,常執迷高透氧率或高含水量,又忽略紫外線對眼睛的傷害,長期配戴後造成眼睛不適。

葉威毅表示,配戴隱形眼鏡的人,更容易忽略眼睛暴露紫外線可能增加白內障和黃斑部病變的風險,不妨配戴具備抗UV功能的隱形眼鏡,搭配框式太陽眼鏡,選擇大鏡片、遮蓋包覆廣的太陽眼鏡,減少從鏡片側邊或透過鏡片背面反射進入眼睛的紫外線。

門診常見久戴隱形眼鏡導致眼睛出狀況的病患,葉威毅說,患者眼睛又乾又澀,常以為忍一忍就過去了,但等到眼睛刺痛、紅癢、視力模糊時,問題已經變嚴重;建議隱形眼鏡族每半年應至眼科檢查視力,了解有無乾眼、角膜表皮、眼底網膜等變化。

至於隱形眼鏡能否戴得舒適,與用眼習慣、生活環境、鏡片材質等因素有關。葉威毅說,消費者常以為高透氧、高含水量就安啦,每天一戴就超過10小時,或者更換鏡片後繼續耗眼力,熬夜、通宵不睡,一樣戴著鏡片,眼睛沒休息,愈來愈乾澀。

葉威毅提醒,民眾應到專業眼科醫師檢查與驗配,請醫師評估雙眼的健康狀況及生活型態後,再選擇適合的鏡片。
