美英發聲明 支持港人和平行使權利

香港警察28日晚間強勢驅離參與占中運動民眾，美國國務院與英國外交部分別發出簡短的聲明，表示支持香港民眾和平行使各種權利，但是不能違反相關法律。

美國國務院發出簡短聲明，表示美國支持香港行之有年的良好傳統與基本自由，像是和平集會以及意見自由。

英國外交部聲明，香港民眾繼續保持和行使包括示威在內的權利和自由很重要，但這一切需要在法律內進行，香港的繁榮和安全建基於基本權利和自由，而香港走向普選，是確保這些權利和自由的最佳保證。同時，要達致共識，各方必須要繼續進行有建設性的對話。

同時，在英國倫敦與美國紐約都有民眾走上街頭，對香港爭取「真普選」的示威表達支持。
