伊波拉疫苗 世衛跟時間賽跑

（路透倫敦29日電）眼見每天有數百人死於伊波拉病毒，世界衛生組織決心要在數月內推出可能的疫苗，免去若干例行性測試，顯現出前所未見的道德和實際問題，將匯集專家討論。

通常要證實新的疫苗安全有效需時數年，才會實地使用。不過由於西非爆發史上最嚴重的伊波拉病毒疫情，現在必須和時間賽跑。世界衛生組織（WHO）預計，感染伊波拉病毒人數11月將達2萬人。

專家希爾（Adrian Hill）以葛蘭素史克藥廠（GlaxoSmithKline）研發的伊波拉疫苗，在志願者身上執行安全試驗，他說：「至今沒人知道我們要如何做。仍有許多艱難的實際調度問題，而沒有人有所有答案。」

希爾目前擔任牛津大學詹納研究所（JennerInstitute）負責人，他說，如果他的試驗結果沒發現有害的副作用，GSK此種新疫苗在年底前，可能可用在西非民眾身上。中央社（翻譯）
