HTC appears to have reshuffled its top management, with its president of engineering and operations Fred Liu switching to supervise the company's emerging products unit, while CMO Benjamin Ho is expected to step down soon, according to industry sources.
Meanwhile, CFO and president of global sales Chang Chia-lin and chief engineering officer David Chen will jointly oversee HTC's product development roadmap, mainly for smartphones.
HTC may not continue to hire Paul Golden as its marketing consultant when the current three-month contract expires in mid-July, the sources indicated. Meanwhile, company chairperson Cher Wang is currently supervising HTC's marketing since CMO Benjamin Ho is on vacation.
