（中央社台北2014年6月24日電）彭博報導，任天堂（Nintendo Co. JP-7974）社長岩田聰（Satoru Iwata）因為上周接受膽管腫瘤切除手術，將不會出席27日舉行的年度股東會。

岩田今天在致股東函中表示，腫瘤在早期階段發現，他目前逐漸康復中。

現年54歲的岩田表示，「我已透過電子郵件和其他方式，恢復我的工作。」「但預料還需要一些時間，才能重返正常的工作行程。」

自2002年任社長迄今的岩田，本月初因醫生囑咐顧及健康因素不要飛往海外，而沒參加洛杉磯舉行的電子娛樂展（Electronic Entertainment Expo）。任天堂預估截至3月底止的年度將呈現虧損，並調降銷售預估。

岩田在致股東函中表示，「我瞭解我必須優先接受治療，然後盡快復原，才能再度竭盡所能，協助公司成長。」（譯者：中央社劉淑琴）
