（中央社記者許秩維台北2014年6月9日電）義大利國家科學院近期揭曉「路易吉塔圖法利獎」獲獎名單，中央研究院士彭旭明獲得化學領域大獎。

義大利國家科學院日前宣布，中研院數理組院士彭旭明和義大利科學家共同榮獲「路易吉塔圖法利獎」(Luigi Tartufari International Prize)化學領域大獎，預定26日在羅馬總部舉行頒獎典禮。

「路易吉塔圖法利獎」每年頒發一次給在科學或文化方面有傑出表現的義大利和國際學者。候選人由國家科學院士或其他義大利本國和國際重要科學研究機構的首長提名。今年該獎項頒發給天文學、物理學、化學與地球科學四個學門的優秀學者，每人可獲獎金2萬5000歐元。

中研院表示，院士彭旭明曾擔任中研院副院長，專長無機化學與結晶學，在過渡金屬錯合物的合成及結構等方面具有開創性的研究成果，其中研究的一維金屬串，更是高度創新的設計，成果具備應用於材料的實用性，具世界級影響性。
