老櫸樹病危 「手術」搶救

新竹市民發現，護城河老圖書館對面，姿態最優雅的一棵老櫸樹，遭白蟻及腐朽菌感染嚴重，市府日前請樹醫為樹身噴藥，做病蟲害防治。

這棵櫸樹樹基已看得到白蟻群及幼蟲，研判全株遭殃，樹醫先在樹身噴藥處理蟲蛀，將做外科「手術」，清除根基及樹身腐朽部位，殺菌、塗抹保護層再填充土壤，希望老櫸樹恢復生機。
