由國外遊戲音樂專門網站 Game Music Online 所主辦的「年度遊戲音樂獎（Annual Game Music Awards）」於近日陸續在官網上分批公布了 2013 年度的得獎名單。而在 4 月 22 日揭曉的「年度作品（Productions of the Year）」當中，由台灣廠商「雷亞遊戲」所推出的智慧型手機遊戲《Deemo》以「I Race the Dawn」一曲拿下「傑出成就—演唱曲（Outstanding Achievement — Vocal Theme)」獎項，該作同時也入圍了「最佳原聲帶－節奏音樂遊戲」項目。
年度遊戲音樂獎是由 Game Music Online 舉辦的遊戲音樂獎項，今年已邁入第 4 屆。評審由相關領域的專家組成，會先針對去年發行之遊戲進行遴選過濾出入圍名單，在考量藝術性與娛樂性、作為遊戲配樂與作為單獨曲目的表現後決定得獎者。
針對《Deemo》獲獎的「I Race the Dawn」一曲，公告網頁上提到：「由澳洲作曲者 Kevin Penkin、美國作詞者 Paige Rohe 以及日本歌手本田みちよ跨國合作呈獻，“I Race the Dawn”贏得了遊玩雷亞遊戲《Deemo》之玩家的心。它令人印象深刻的旋律、花式混音曲風以及夢幻般的呈現足以說明勝出的原因」。
