美國土石流 8人喪命18人失蹤

美國華盛頓州土石流，至少摧毀和損壞30棟房屋。

美國華盛頓州郊區22日發生大規模土石流，造成至少8人死亡、18人失蹤，救援人員連夜搶救，也聽到土石流下面建築物傳出救聲，但被厚厚的泥土、岩石和樹木掩埋，無計可施。

這場土石流發生在西雅圖以北約55哩處的歐索鎮，1條公路被埋住，山下的河流被封，至少摧毀和損壞30棟房屋，許多人受重傷，部分失蹤者是公路上開車的駕駛，他們連人帶車被土石流捲走埋住。

這場土石流是地下水飽和造成的，該地區過去1個月出現暴雨，而且當地山區的地質不穩，2006年也曾發生土石流，但這1次沒先兆。

「西雅圖時報」報導，瓦礫堆範圍寬約2.4公里，深約4到6公尺。
