科學家證實 塗鈦高球棒會引起火災

高爾夫球手揮桿要小心了，科學家證實，表示面塗了鈦的高爾夫球桿會引起球場火災。科學家以高速攝影機和電子顯微鏡觀察發現，鈦面高爾夫球桿如果擊在岩石上，能產生高達溫度三千度的火花，這些火花能燃燒一秒鐘以上，如果岩石所在之處是乾草區，這時間足以引發火災。加州一位消防隊長說，橙郡的高爾夫球場至少有兩次是這樣引起，包括2010 年Shady Canyon高球場的火災，燒掉12英畝。傳統不鏽鋼球桿則沒有這個問題。
