東華大學樹苗枯死 疑天熱難耐

（中央社記者李先鳳花蓮縣13日電）東華大學校園內栽種的牛樟樹苗，多數已枯死，民眾指校園淪為「樹苗墳場」，校方指出，樹苗屬花蓮縣政府財產，完成移交前將先補植。

國立東華大學在今年植樹節於校園內種了500多棵牛樟樹苗，經過一個暑假，樹苗枯死大半；當時種植樹苗的前面，豎立以各系班命名的名牌，如今名牌淹沒在一片雜草中，被學生譏諷說像墓碑一樣。

東華大學總務處環保組長廖順魁今天獲悉後，前往察看樹苗情況。

廖順魁說，這些牛樟樹是跟縣政府簽訂合約，由縣府農業處試種，推廣高經濟作物，年底移交校方接手管理；當時種植選在各學院旁，目前看來存活率約6至7成不等，恐怕是受到今年夏天特別酷熱所致。1030913
