松鼠害台鐵電纜斷 耽誤萬人

肇禍的松鼠已遭電斃，但仍掛在電桿上。

今天清晨6時45分台鐵新豐與竹北之間的東正線電車線有松鼠爬入，造成電車線主吊線短路且掉落約600公尺，僅能單線通車，經台鐵緊急搶修後，上午9時41分恢復正常，總計影響35班次、旅客1萬2000人，但因誤點都未逾30分鐘，未超過45分鐘的退費標準，加上屬於外力因素，不會退費。

台鐵表示，經過事後調查，這起電車線掉落事故，是因為松鼠爬到電車線上時，因為松鼠是導電體，電流突然增加引發高溫直接溶斷電車線，必須暫停通行，並非列車勾斷電車線。

台鐵表示，上午7點42分時已到場維修，發現電桿上有松鼠屍體，疑為短路元凶，「台鐵又延誤？」中秋節三天連假剛結束，恢復正常上班、上學，不過一早在火車站，就出現等車人潮。旅客在等車時間，不忘用手機在臉書和PTT發訊息，指出竹北到新豐之間，因電車線脫落，造成後續每班列車延誤20分鐘以上。

還有網友指出，坐在電聯車多等一段時間，竟是為了讓自強號先過；另有人整理出，台鐵今年交通事故，包含「失去動力」、「動力不足」、落石、出軌、電力異常、號誌故障、機車故障等，諷為「機瘟年」。
