李萬居故居整修 盼成口湖新亮點

已故民主先賢李萬居是雲林縣口湖鄉梧北村人，故居啟用至今超過10年，入口意象斑駁損壞，縣府為保留及傳承深具歷史意義及文化價值館舍，讓遊客及當地民眾留下深刻印象，昨天動工進行入口意象修復事宜。

縣議員林哲凌表示，李萬居不畏強權，時任省議員不受當年執政黨利誘，組黨、辦報；現將李萬居故居重新整修，將古厝打造成社區新亮點，可讓故鄉子弟更加認識民主先賢。

縣府文化處指出，李萬居故居是兼具在地文教與休憩娛樂功能的精神啟蒙館，可藉以緬懷終生為民主自由發聲的先賢。

修復開工典禮由文化處長劉銓芝及口湖鄉長蔡永常等人主持，縣府自籌135萬元工程款，希望未來李萬居故居入口意象的嶄新設計能促進當地觀光，成為口湖鄉觀光亮點。
