印度官方瘧疾病例和死亡數低報

（中央社記者何宏儒新德里22日專電）「刺胳針」醫學期刊指出，印度2013年有6070萬人感染瘧疾，至少11萬6000人死亡。這數字與官方估計的88萬多個感染案例、440人死亡，堪稱天差地遠。

「印度斯坦時報」（Hindustan Times）今天引述今天發行的「刺胳針」（The Lancet）醫學期刊內容報導，印度2013年有6070萬人感染瘧疾，造成至少11萬6000人死亡。

報導說，數字與印度官方估計天差地遠。國家病媒傳播疾病控制計畫局（Directorate of NationalVector Borne Disease Control Programme）公布數字，全印去年共88萬1730例瘧疾感染案例，造成440人死亡。

上述論文共同作者及研究計畫領導人西北印旁遮普（Punjab）省盧迪安納（Ludhiana）基督教醫學院（Christian Medical College）貝蒂柯旺研究與創新中心（Betty Cowan Research and Innovation Centre）的潘迪安（Jeyaraj Durai Pandian）指出，刺胳針詳盡查驗資料，會比官方數據更可信。

他並說，雖然結核病和瘧疾新增感染率下降，但仍高於全球平均。

刺胳針內容同時指出，印度2013年新增愛滋病毒（HIV）病例數較2000年減少16.3%，減少的幅度高於同期全球平均值3.92%。1030722
