「小皇帝」LeBron James再度成為自由球員，引爆「朝聖之戰」，現在連一向「小而美、小而省」的鳳凰城太陽都加入戰局。

根據《雅虎運動》，太陽計畫對James展開積極追逐，事實上他們確實有足夠的薪資空間，能給「小皇帝」想要的。

野心不只於此，由於James有意合作「甜瓜」Carmelo Anthony，太陽也願意照單全收。

太陽目前明年有約的球員多達11人，但幾乎都是年輕球員，最高薪是Goran Dragic的750萬美元，超過400萬的只有2人，團隊總薪資還不到3300萬。

由於薪資空間龐大，太陽甚至可以不用裁掉任何一名球員，就能同時延攬James與Anthony兩位「A咖」。

如果和太陽簽約，James和Anthony的最高年薪分別是2070萬年薪與2240萬。

另外，太陽在2015年擁有3張選秀首輪籤，同樣是爭取自由球員時的利多。
