加拿大天后席琳狄翁（Celine Dion）與惠妮休斯頓、瑪麗亞凱莉並列90年代3大天后，46歲的她13歲就出道發行法語專輯，1991年為迪士尼動畫《美女與野獸》唱主題曲獲得奧斯卡，打開國際知名度，1997年她為影史《鐵達尼號》演唱的神曲《愛無止盡》（My Heart Will Go On）紅遍全球，歷年總專輯締造2.6億張驚人銷量，她曾開超過1500場演唱會，卻從來沒來過台灣。就在她結束今年在賭城凱薩宮的駐唱後，她將到亞洲巡迴，並訂於10月來台辦演唱會。
 
席琳出生於加拿大魁貝克，她12歲時由哥哥錄下她的歌聲，拿給相差26歲的經紀人雷尼安傑利聽，對方抵押房子全力培植她為全球歌壇天后，兩人後來也從合作夥伴變成夫妻，育有3子。1999年安傑利罹患喉癌，她一度暫停演藝事業全心陪老公治療，表現鶼鰈情深，去年底曾傳出夫妻感情失和，但她不理會流言。兩人沒分手，倒是結束了工作上的合作關係，老公最近已卸下經紀人一職。
 
她近年來在賭城駐唱票房亮眼，合約一直簽到2019年，今年趁空檔到亞洲巡演，台灣場的演出地點與日期，應會在近日公布。（李子凡／台北報導）
