東區決賽，溜馬在第6場被熱火4：2淘汰，連續第3年被倒在熱火手下，溜火將帥不得不承認熱火的強大。

「我為球員們驕傲，本賽季我們季勝了56場，差兩場就進總決賽，很棒的一個賽季。」溜馬主帥沃格爾（Frank Vogel）賽後表示，「我們最後還是功虧一簣，連續第三年輸給他們。因為我們在和這個時代的邁可-喬丹（Michael Jordan）比賽，我們在和這個時代的芝加哥公牛比賽。我們只能在下賽季變得更好，重頭再來。」

「是的，我們贏不了他們，」大前鋒韋斯特（David West）得到16分4個籃板，在末節犯滿離場，「我們處在熱火不可思議的風暴裡，這個團隊由這個星球上最好的球員領導，我們沒有辦法擊敗他們。他們的節奏我們也沒法趕上。」
