他把我們當家人…上百老人連署 留替代役男

替代役男楊季斌在苗栗市老人文康中心服役，把老人當成自己家長輩對待，讓老人家感到窩心，當他退伍時，一百多名年長者連署陳情市公所「留」人，希望讓他可以繼續服務老人。

市長邱炳坤肯定楊季斌的表現，但礙於公家機關用人規定，只能表揚他。

邱炳坤說，老人文康中心會員的心聲可以理解，楊季斌替代役期間將是他難得人生經驗與資產，有機會會推薦楊給私人企業。

一百多名會員陳情指出，楊季斌是新北人，大學應用心理系肄業，去年5月20日到苗栗市老人文康中心服替代役，5月1日退伍，期間工作認真，負責盡職，任勞任怨，獲得會員肯定及賞識。

楊季斌沒有過客或是只是當兵的消極態度，一年來把900多名會員當做是家中長輩看待，對行動不便老人會主動親切扶持，也多次到傷病會員家中探視及關懷，因此希望公所可以破例聘任楊季斌，把好人才留在老人文康中心服務，也是市民的福氣。
