澳軍艦索馬利亞外海扣大量毒品

（中央社記者徐梅玉約翰尼斯堡2014年5月15日專電）澳洲國防部今天表示，皇家海軍昨天在索馬利亞外海的印度洋上巡邏時，扣押1艘可疑船隻，船上載有449公斤、市值約1億2300萬美元（約新台幣36億9000萬元）的海洛英。

南非新聞網站「新聞24」（news24）今天引述軍艦HMAS達爾文號（HMAS Darwin）指揮官莫里森（TerryMorrison）報導，毒品是為籌募恐怖組織，包括塔利班、北非蓋達組織與索馬利亞青年黨 (Shabaab) 的主要基金來源。

毒品分裝於20個袋子，每個袋子重量為20至25公斤不等。
