台中警方偵辦詐欺案，女大學生被騙錢，員警調出監視器畫面，發現嫌疑人長得很像已故總統蔣經國。

1名中年男子在台中市大賣場搭訕鍾姓女大學生，謊稱自己是知名模特兒公司經紀人，約女學生試鏡，卻騙走團拍費8千元，警方受理報案後調出賣場監視器畫面，發現那名男子貌似已故總統蔣經國，警方將依此線索追查男子身分，通知他到案。

鍾女報案指，男子說她外貌條件好，可兼差當業務模特兒賺錢，鍾女生聽了心動。男子約她1周後到台北火車站速食店見面，再帶她到公司試鏡並認識環境。

男子又說，需先收車馬費與團拍費8千元，等到台北見面後再退回錢，女大學生隨即領錢給對方，留了自己電話給對方，未向對方要名片和電話號碼，她回家後愈想愈不對不對，向警方報案。員警陪鍾女生到台北車站，但未見那名男子出現，幾已確定是詐財案。
