谷歌無人駕駛車 試上路

（路透加州山景市13日電）美國谷歌（Google Inc）的無人駕駛自動車今天試上路，好讓大眾早點習慣這種未來的車輛，不過自動車距離普及還得等上數年時間。

谷歌自動車隊今天載著超過24名記者在加州山景市兜風30分，展現自動車在山景市（Mountain View）滿是自行車、行人及交通號誌的街道上，安全自動駕駛的能力。 坐在後座的人認為，搭自動車跟搭計程車感覺沒有什麼不一樣。自動車的車速、與前方車輛保持的距離及行車過程，和一般車輛完全沒有不同。 只是自動車切換車道時，有時感覺會比較不平穩。 谷歌自動駕駛車計畫的安全主管梅福德（RonMedford）表示，民眾必須了解，無須害怕自動車，反倒應該擁抱這種車輛。梅福德曾在國家公路交通安全管理局（National Highway Traffic and SafetyAdministration）當官。 谷歌某些具雄心壯志的計畫最近掀起風波，谷歌眼鏡（Google Glass）就引發隱私考量。自動駕駛車不僅要追求完美技術，消費者接受程度及監管也都是很大的挑戰。 谷歌共同創辦人布林（Sergey Brin）表示，自動車的科技將於2017年上路。中央社（翻譯）
