當「小皇帝」決定將球權掌控在手上時，那股霸氣令布魯克林球迷也不得不懾服。詹姆斯昨拿下平生涯季後賽單場最高的49分，加上波許的關鍵三分球，熱火102比96扯下籃網，3比1取得進軍東區冠軍戰的聽牌優勢。

詹姆斯昨役出手24次，佔全隊3成4以上的攻勢，命中16球則是除了他之外的4名先發球員總和，至於49分更比其他先發球員總得分還多。

如今效力小牛的「老飛人」卡特，曾在2001年帶領暴龍102比78擊敗76人之戰中攻下50分，佔全隊總得分49%，詹姆斯昨役49分是全隊得分的48%，這是2001年來第一位能在季後賽單場球隊得分破百情況下，得分比率最高的球員。

詹姆斯在比賽最後1秒站上罰球線，可惜2罰中1，沒能創下季後賽生涯單場得分新高紀錄。詹姆斯賽後表示，「這是我第一次在球隊確定獲勝之後對自己感到失望。」

整場比賽打得相當激烈，熱火甚至在第4節數次落後，但詹姆斯、波許和韋德總能適時提供火力，不過，當兩隊94平手之際，波許在最後57秒飆進三分球，幫助熱火重新要回領先，緊接著6罰5中保住勝果。

打了43分鐘的詹姆斯說，「教練在第4節確實問我需要休息嗎？我不知道他當時是不是在開玩笑，至於我是如何回答他的，就不能說了！」

熱火總教練史波斯查則表示，戰況膠著時，就得看哪方能在關鍵時刻將球投進籃框內或是抓下籃板球，詹姆斯和波許做到了。

此外，騎士開除麥克布朗，目前傳出包含柯爾、丹托尼、馬克傑克生都有可能接掌兵符。
