愛地球：迷你馬白龍和媽媽亮相

台北動物園內的迷你馬媽媽本月初剛產下小公馬「白龍」（右），母子倆近日開始到展示場活動。

台北市立動物園研究員趙明杰表示，迷你馬又叫「袖珍馬」，體形比一般馬小很多，但兩者同種，台北動物園內的迷你馬媽媽「小白」本月1日產下小公馬「白龍」，這幾天母子倆開始到展示場「放風」，在天氣和動物狀況都許可的情況下，遊客下午3時左右就能看到牠們出來活動。
趙明杰說，「白龍」一到戶外就滿場衝來衝去，偶爾跑回媽媽身邊撒嬌，又繼續下一回合衝刺。運動完回到馬廄沒多久，「白龍」就在媽媽戒護下安心睡去；成年的馬大多站著休息，但「白龍」目前還會坐臥或躺著睡覺。

◎體形：身高76~150公分，體重100公斤以下
◎特徵：和一般馬同種，但體形小很多，剛出生時僅45~50公分高
