高雄市推動環保殯葬，除了在旗山區多元葬法生命園區闢建樹葬區，4月15日將再開放燕巢區深水山公墓樹葬區「璞園」，設有600個穴位及1處樹灑葬區。

民政局殯葬管理處99年在旗山區多元葬法生命園區闢建樹葬區，規劃了800個穴位，截至今年3月，已使用201個穴位。

民政局局長曾姿雯表示，為貫徹環保葬不留痕跡的精神，高雄市兩處樹葬區比照植存做法，不做永久設施、不入塔、不立碑、不設墳及不記名。
