隨著持有八大與東森電視台股權的兩大外資都傳出想出場，意味國內有線電視股權版圖將有大變動，但當事人對此都相當低調。

台塑集團昨（13）日否認有意收購殷拓集團手中八大持股的傳聞。八大總經理林柏川則證實，殷拓集團的確有意出手八大持股，但無法透露細節。

殷拓集團是瑞典知名私募股權基金，投資地區橫跨北歐、東歐、美國及亞洲等地，2011年初透過旗下勢力從安柏凱手中收購八大百分之百的股權，是殷拓集團在台灣的第一個投資案。

業界人士透露，殷拓集團投資八大滿三年，已經達到私募基金檢視投資標的時間，加上該集團並未延伸布局至八大以外的有線電視標的，較無附加價值，因此決定脫手。

八大目前擁有GTV第1台、綜合台、戲劇台、娛樂K台等四個頻道。據了解，可能買家包含曾是八大大股東的台塑王家、本土資金等，其中以台塑王家呼聲最高，交易金額約60億元。

東森電視大股東則為凱雷集團及東森國際，凱雷有意出售手中持有東森電視逾六成股權，開價約200億元，有意接手的買家以東森國際董事長王令麟最為積極，市場也盛傳包含鴻海等三到四組買家有興趣

台塑創辦人王永慶曾經投資八大，對媒體產業不陌生。業界人士表示，台塑另一位創辦人王永在、台塑集團總裁王文潮、台塑集團副總裁王瑞華、台塑生醫董事長王瑞瑜近年也與台灣有線電視產業接觸密切。

近年台塑已故創辦人王永慶長子、宏仁集團總裁王文洋對於媒體產業也當感興趣，市場也曾傳出王文洋有意入主東森電視，但均未獲得證實。

近期陸續傳出外資將撤出台灣有線電視系統及頻道經營權，由本土資金接手，業界認為，此舉對台灣有線電視產業升級數位高畫質，及追求永續經營等兩大層面大有幫助。

早期的第四台時期，台灣有線電視經營權由地方勢力掌有，當時有線電視獨立系統台多達上百家，是「群雄割據」的戰國時代。

1993年有線電視法立法通過，有線電視系統台就地合法，展開合縱連橫，也吸引外資進駐。

1999年，凱雷集團是第一家進入台灣有線電視產業的外資，展開區域性的收購計畫，打造台灣第三大的台灣寬頻TBC，並帶起台灣有線電視產業的外資併購潮。

外資在台灣收購有線電視產業的案例包括麥格理買下台灣寬頻，凱雷轉進凱擘、安博凱入主中嘉，最高峰時，外資曾掌有台灣近六成的有線電視收視戶。
