前天傍晚，發生捷運史上首宗男子持刀隨機砍人，造成4人死亡，這天後，恐懼這個名詞侵入了台灣人的心，台北捷運統計昨天搭乘人數少了7萬人。
今日出版的《自由時報》報導，昨天搭捷運的人數明顯少了，據捷運公司統計，截至昨晚7時止，全線搭乘人數較上周四少了7萬4千多人次。（盧麗蓮／綜合報導）

犯下國內首宗捷運車廂內無差別隨機殺人案的鄭捷，日前經新北地院裁定收押，而他兇殘的殺人手法及疑似事前經過縝密的小說式犯罪計畫，也在檢警查扣其個人筆電後將逐漸明朗。他在犯下這起兇殘至極的殺人案半小時前，卻和一名李姓國中同窗好友約在麥當勞見面，兩人碰面時的對話內容也成了警方急欲釐清的部分。
這名李同學昨天深夜11時許在父母親陪同下至警局說明當天碰面狀況，李同學表示兩人當天約在麥當勞見面後多討論網路遊戲神魔之塔的攻略，直到離開前，鄭捷才向他表示「要先去培養一下情緒，晚點準備要動手了」；這半年來有時會從遊戲聊天聽到鄭捷提到要到捷運殺人，李男也不知他說的到底是不是真的，直到回到家中上網看到新聞及血淋淋的畫面才不忍卒睹，李男沒想到這個國中同窗好友竟然會真的幹下捷運隨機殺人案。（黃楷棟／新北報導）

| 鄭捷犯案前與好友敘舊 臨走前稱「培養情緒，準備動手」

犯下台北捷運隨機殺人案的21歲男學生鄭捷，被警方查出在犯案前曾與一名國中好友相約到速食店吃午餐敘舊，甚至還向這名友人表示「晚點準備動手了」。
東海大學環工系二年級男學生鄭捷，21日持2把長刀在捷運車廂內揮舞砍殺乘客，共造成28人死傷，其中有4人死亡、輕傷13人、重傷11人，震驚全台。而警方調查後發現，鄭捷在犯案前曾到速食店用餐，當時身邊還有一名友人。
根據《蘋果日報》報導，當時與鄭捷一起用餐的為其李姓國中同學， 22日深夜在父母陪同下到警局說明當日碰面狀況。李男表示，兩人當日大多在討論網路遊戲攻略，但鄭捷在離開前曾稱「要先去培養情緒，晚點準備動手了」。
李男指出，因近半年來有時候在聊天時，鄭捷會從遊戲內容中提及要到捷運殺人，但不知道鄭捷所言是認真的還是開玩笑，21日返家後看見新聞才發現昔日國中好友竟真的犯下捷運隨機殺人案。
