美籲泰軍方 釋政黨領袖速選舉

美國國務卿凱瑞今天就泰國軍事政變發表聲明指出，他對軍方行動表示失望，並要求釋放政黨領袖，立即恢復民選政府，盡速舉行反應民意的選舉。

凱瑞（John Kerry）在聲明中對泰國軍方於長期政治動盪後，中止憲法及掌控政府表示失望，認為軍方沒有理由發動軍事政變。

凱瑞關切多起報導指出，多名泰國主要政黨領袖遭拘禁，媒體被關閉；他要求軍方釋放政黨領袖，並敦促立即恢復民選政府，回歸民主，尊重人權與包括新聞自由在內的基本自由，泰國必須盡早舉行能夠反應人民意志的選舉。

他強調，美方高度重視與泰國人民的長期友誼，軍方行動對美泰關係造成負面影響，特別是雙邊軍事關係，美方已開始檢視對泰國的援助與互動，是否合乎美國法律。
