監察院上午舉行母親節紀念與慶生會，邀請員工及民眾母親做洗腳孝親活動，由監察院長王建煊親自參與主持，他會後受訪，被詢及並未被提名續任監察院長時，王建煊表示，他一生作了不少位置，公職有40年資歷，最後悔的位置就是監察院長，這是他人生最大錯誤，到監察院叫入監，現在他開心了一點了，再兩個多月他就出監了，換另外的人來入監。因為監察院沒有做到人民期待。
