（中央社東京24日綜合外電報導）美國總統歐巴馬今天與日本天皇明仁在盛大儀式中，校閱儀隊，正式展開近20年來美國總統對日本的首次國是訪問。

歐巴馬今天現身東京宏偉的皇居，在春日暖洋中邁步，並和列隊歡迎的重要人物打招呼。

皇居的盛大儀式結束後，歐巴馬將與日本首相安倍晉三舉行正式峰會，並參觀熱門觀光景點明治神宮，晚間則將出席國宴。

日本非常重視歐巴馬的到訪，並期望獲美國保證，當日本面對與中國大陸的釣魚台列嶼主權爭端，美國將力挺東京當局。

於此同時，美國和日本貿易談判代表正在東京日夜不停協商雙邊貿易協定，這份協定對於更廣泛的跨太平洋夥伴協定（TPP）至關重要。

美國1名官員今天表示：「我們持續談判。」

他說，「汽車和農業依然是談判主軸」，正替美國企業、農民和農牧業者努力。
