端午節即將來臨，知名北海岸「石農肉粽」主打古早味粽，新北市政府今天向各界宣傳這項石門區特有的美食，藝人陳美鳳今天也到場和家政班媽媽一起包粽子。

新北市政府農業局長廖榮清表示，石門區因靠海，肉粽料多營養又好攜帶，是漁民上船工作時必備的糧食，當地的十八王公廟也盛行用十八顆肉粽做為祭拜品，石門肉粽因而享譽盛名。

石門區農會2001年成立肉粽販賣部「田媽媽北海驛站」，主要成員是當地的家政班媽媽；經新北市農業局輔導，「石農肉粽」2007年獲得ISO22000食品安全最高認證，並通過HACCP認證，食材並選用符合CAS認證商品，「石農肉粽」因此打響名號。

端午節前夕，家政班媽媽從清晨忙到深夜，她們說，招牌的古早味粽是選用滷好的五花豬肉，搭配台灣香菇、花生、金鉤蝦和蛋黃；「芋香櫻花蝦粽」則將金山芋頭與櫻花蝦油先後炸出香氣、拌進蒸熟的圓糯米裡，搭配金黃色蛋黃，讓人食指大動。

今年3月美國佛羅里達州發生一起死亡車禍，警方近日公佈最新案情，指出死亡的女乘客當時應該是在車上做愛，而丈夫馬修諾伯特(Matthew Notebaert)被控酒駕，諾伯特遭到逮捕。

據《多倫多太陽報》報導，警方指出，諾伯特當天開車載著妻子亞曼達(Amanda)，但車子最後掉進河溝，導至妻子死亡。警方形容亞曼達死狀，稱亞曼達下半身赤裸，跨坐在諾伯特大腿上，推測2人當時應有交合。此外，警方也表示，諾伯特有酒駕，並忽視河溝外的3個警示牌，導致悲劇發生，目前已將諾伯特逮捕。（施旖婕／綜合外電報導）

美國移民暨海關執法局(ICE)8日公布最新的國際學生研究報告，數據顯示，目前有近30萬人中國大陸留學生在美國就讀，數量排名第一，台灣學生12萬3000多名，排名第七位。南加大國際學生最多。

根據這份最新公布的學生與交換訪客計畫(Student and Exchange Visitor Program, SEVP)報告，目前在美國常態性就讀的國際學生有101萬多人，其中中國有將近30萬人，數量排名第一；在中國留學生大舉進入美國留學的趨勢帶動下，在美國就讀的亞洲學生也逾76萬人，比前一季增加3%。

亞洲學生的人數眾多，如果依照國籍分別，到美國留學的國際學生中，排名前10名的國家中，只有第五名的加拿大與第九、十名的墨西哥及巴西不是亞洲國家。

到今年4月為止，根據SEVP的報告，目前共有2萬3309名台灣學生在美國就讀，名列第七，排在中國、印度、南韓、沙烏地阿拉伯、加拿大與日本之後，不過比起其他的亞洲國家，只有台灣在美國的學生人數呈現負成長的趨勢。

國際學生到美國就讀，仍然以加州最大宗，目前有將近17萬名留學生在加州就讀，紐約居次，約有近12萬名國際留學生，德州以7萬多人排名第三。

南加大擁有最多的國際學生，報告中顯示，南加大擁有超過1萬名國際學生，也是唯一破萬的學校；另外，有多達三分之一的國際學生是到美國唸大學，逾26萬人攻讀研究所，最熱門的則是商業管理、行銷等相關科系，工程科系居次。

連串地震9日襲擊巴基斯坦南方，已知造成1人死亡，另外30人受傷。

其中一次地震發生在辛德省納瓦普沙市東北27公里處，地震的規模5.0，但震央相對較淺，在地層的10公里深處。當地一位官員卡提歐說：「地震至少已造成1人死亡，另外30人受傷。」

母親節 護理人員免費遊綠博

（中央社記者沈如峰宜蘭2014年5月9日電）宜蘭縣政府今天說，迎接母親節與國際護師節，11日凡具母親身分與護理執照者，都可免費到綠色博覽會園區參觀。

縣府表示，11日是慈暉母親節，為體恤母親的辛勞，當天凡具母親身分者都可免費入園參觀綠博，園區屆時將安排親善工作人員，發送1500朵康乃馨及礦泉水送給全國的媽媽。

此外，12日是國際護師節，為體恤護理人員平時的辛勞，11、12日兩天全國護理人員只要持有效執業執照，也可免費入園參觀。期許全國的母親與白衣天使們，藉由春遊綠博，紓解工作壓力。

2014年宜蘭綠色博覽會已於3月29日起，在蘇澳武荖坑風景區登場，活動將到5月18日止。
