鄭捷應訊時毫無懼色或悔意，冷靜、情緒平和，辦案人員形容如同老練的職業殺手。昨天當他移送到地檢署、法院，沒有律師也沒有家屬到場關心，竟能在拘留室靜靜閉目養神，不發一語，宛如是到法院一遊，令接觸的法警均覺得不可思議。

法警指出，一般沒有前科、初犯者，被帶到地檢署拘留，通常會走來走去或暗自啜泣，特別是受過高等教育者，常有自言自語「對不起父母」，「對不起老婆」。若再聽到檢察官聲請羈押，十個有九個都會嚇到癱軟在地上。

法警表示，聽到即將被關，卻沒有家屬探視關切，不乏痛哭流涕，一再抱怨或破口大罵者。等情緒稍微平復，看著拘留室裡，刺龍刺鳳或一再進出監獄的同伴，想到未來日子，就會開始感到恐懼。

鄭捷沒有前科、初犯，受有高等教育，年僅21歲，沒有家屬到場，卻冷靜如同冰霜。即使知道要被聲押，也沒有任何反應，靜靜地被帶到法院，似乎一點也不擔心。當他在拘留室等待召開羈押庭時，竟還能閉眼小睡。

鄭捷在應訊過程，說話平和，面對辦案人員的質疑，批評冷血，情緒絲毫沒有起伏。種種表現，令相關人員覺得他比老手還要老手。
