曾經務農、開計程車、在台灣工藝研究發展中心任職，黃燕斌將這些經驗融入創作作品中。黃燕斌認為，影響最大是在研究中心任職，「那時常常跟著行銷顧問委員討論，如何將藝術品融入生活，退休後就想說，不如自己也來玩玩看。」

「我希望我作品是真正『實用』。」黃燕斌嘗試做雕刻作品，還特地南下到雕刻重鎮鹿港購買刀具，再將撿到的木頭「土法煉鋼」雕刻，這一玩就玩出興趣，除了依照木頭外形，做出裝飾的12生肖掛飾，還有實用的檯燈作品。

丹頂鶴檯燈由兩塊長型樟木、葫蘆狀匏瓜燈泡組成，匏瓜燈上畫有貓頭鷹，代表念書多、聰明，還細心將樟木畫上丹頂鶴樣貌；基座則寫著「K書向上游」。

除浮雕作品，黃燕斌也創作西畫、國畫，畫作以四季節氣和國曆中的節日為主。

土城區公所表示，「藝術生活與天然造型浮雕—黃燕斌個展」展期至30日止，開放時間為週一至週五上午9點至下午5點，在土城城區公所3樓金城藝廊展出。

聯電(2303)與嵌入式非揮發性記憶體解決方案廠商Cypress共同宣布，聯電55奈米製程平台已取得Cypress的SONOS嵌入式快閃記憶體矽智財授權，未來可望進一步應用於穿戴式電子、物聯網應用、微控制器，以及邏輯IC等產品。

聯電說明，Cypress的55奈米SONOS嵌入式NVM製程，與其他嵌入式NVM技術相較，具有明顯的優勢。在標準CMOS製程之外，其他嵌入式快閃記憶體技術需要外加11-12層光罩，而SONOS技術則僅需額外加上3-4層光罩即可。另外，在加入一般CMOS製程時，SONOS不會改變標準元件特性或model，不影響並可保留現有矽智財。SONOS具備高良率與高可靠度、十年的資料保存、十萬次的編程/擦除耐久週期，以及避免軟錯誤發生的高抵抗力等特性。而聯電已於2013年認證通過Cypress的S65 65奈米SONOS 製程技術。如今，雙方則是將合作關係延伸至55奈米製程。

聯電負責特殊技術開發的簡山傑副總表示，在產業生態系矽智財夥伴的協助下，聯電計畫建立更多高附加價值的技術平台，以支援未來低功耗，高整合性的晶片設計，例如物聯網與穿戴式電子等產品。聯電很高興與Cypress今日的合作成果，能夠為客戶帶來55奈米SONOS的好處。他強調，聯電以先前在特殊技術上累積的成功經驗為根基，諸如RF、BCD、HV、CIS與eFlash技術等，未來計畫於55奈米製程平台上，納入Cypress可方便整合的NVM矽智財，以因應不同產品對NVM矽智財不同規格的需求。

Cypress技術與矽智財事業群副總Sam Geha則表示，Cypress承諾與聯電這樣的業界領導者攜手合作，以加速該公司SONOS矽智財在嵌入式NVM市場的採用度。他強調，55奈米SONOS製程推出的時機恰當，正可滿足來自聯電廣泛客戶的市場需求，包括許多針對快速成長之新市場所推出的新產品，包含智能卡、銀行卡、穿戴式電子、還有物聯網，都將獲得SONOS提供的成本效益，以及高效能與高可靠度等好處。
